Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge First Impression

Episodes watched: 1, 2 & 3, Subber used: [Anime-Koi]

So the story is actually pretty good if you ask me, anime like this one where there are around 2 people who will have to face a number of opponents due to a game or an adventure/task. Each encounter will make the story grow as well as help with character development. A story like this also gives a lot of opportunity and excitement in the events. What I found interesting about this anime is how it had a very eerie and serious mood to it but every now and then a comedic thing will happen which is quite a good element of anime in general. The characters like I said in this type of anime are easier to have a variety of. The relationship between the protagonist and the heroine is quite interesting on how even though they are always together and at times they are so natural they still have romantic tension every now and then.

The art to this anime is one that I would definitely categorize as modern age animation, the people are pretty well done as well as the overall feel of the anime. The nature is good and the extravagant colours also stand out. But as well done as it is, there really isn't a unique style in place. Since this is a action anime a swell that is all about serial killers and murderers there is obviously bound to be some gore and whatnot. This anime is definitely not for a young audience as they show flash backs of murder and even though the battles so far aren't as gory the characters definitely show their blood lust.

I would like to take the time to compare this anime to one of the more famous anime of the past “Mirai Nikki”. In Mirai Nikki there is Yuki and Yuno who are a pair/couple just like in this anime with Kiri and Iwai. Yuno and Yuki are within a “game” where they put their lives on the line and must face enemies who have come solely for their lives, this is the same within Crime Edge. In Mirai Nikki everyone has a special “Dairy” and in Crime Edge everyone has a “Killing Good” which they use in their battles. The gore and seriousness as well as the occasional ecchi comedy in both anime stand out as a similarity.

Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge is definitely a anime I recommend, unless you aren’t that into real gore, blood and killing I can understand that you might not want to watch it, other than that there is no excuse, as the enemies come so will the anime and story, I look forward to seeing more from this anime

Personal Note: WHAT IS WITH THE WHOLE EVERYTHING TURNS PEOPLE ON AND HAS TO BE ECCHI/DIRTY. I mean I understand that Kiri has a weird Hair fetish, ok, that's hot and all, BUT I MEAN THE SISTERS!! Actually she is being licked intensely so I guess I can understand that a bit…. Hmmmmmm…… well I like that comedy anyway XP
