Hataraku Maou-sama! First Impression

 Hataraku Maou-sama! First Impression

Episodes watched: 1, 2 & 3 Subber used: [Commie]

Ok so first of all, when all my friends watched the 2013 spring line up and and I wasn't watching any of them at the time, they would all go on about “Hataraku Maou-sama!”, all of them said it was the best out of all of the 2013 spring line up. I was like pfft cant be, BECAUSE one of my dumbass friends never gives an anime a chance and will quit within minutes, my other friends just don't know how to look for the anime EVEN when I provided them with the list and shit. Anyway on to the main thing.

So something that I have seen before is a action adventure cool serious story backline which then turned out to be a comedy/gag, I don't think that “Hataraku Maou-sama!” is like this entirely. It does start out with a pretty creative and interesting story, and when they got to the human world it was a good development AND when it turned into a comedy that was the best. However its not like its all comedy, like in episode 3 some serious shit ends up happening to them, “so it turned back into a serious action?” is what I was wondering. But never the less it turned out extremely well. I do have to admit even though it was a weird concept it ended up good AS. I noticed that the personalities of the characters do change quite a bit for some reason, mainly when they talk to different people in different positions.

The art while they were in the other is interesting and has a dark action feel but what I do like a lot is the modern style anime art. The girls have a really good art sense to them, like they are meant to be a centre of attraction. The rural art of the city and everyday objects are soo well done in familiarity like they are accurate enough to give a sense that they are actually living in a normal everyday life trying to get by.

Well what I like about this anime is that the Maou is the protagonist, he may be the demon king but he’s soo cool and nice. When he transformed I really fan girled out about how cool he looks and stuff. Anyway, I recommend this to everybody because I believe anybody can get to like this anime due to its elements. As I said I like this anime it doesn't mean that it's the best I assure you.

Personal Note: why is his name still Maou on earth, I mean, in Japanese Maou means demon king so its weird that people don't think he’s weird for having that name.

Rating: so far….. 9.5
